Gujarat Rajasthan Tour
Day 01 Arrive Mumbai.
On arrival meeting at the airport and transfer to hotel. Afternoon city
tour of Mumbai visiting, Hanging Gardens, Gandhi Memorial and drive past
the city looking at Gateway of India, Marine Drive, Victoria Terminus etc.

Day 02 : Mumbai- Bhavnagar
After breakfast at the hotel transfer to airport in time to connect flight
for Bhavnagar.On arrival, meeting at the airport and transfer to hotel.
Afternoon city tour of Bhavnagar visiting the Barton Museum built in 1895,
Old bazaar dotted with merchants’ havelis and Nilambagh Palace, once the
former ruler’s residence, was built in 1859 and is now a luxury hotel.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03 :Bhavnagar-Palitana-Ahmedabad
Early morning, after breakfast, leave by surface for Ahmedabad via
Palitana.
An extraordinary cluster of 863 Jain temples crowns the twin summits of
Palitana’s Shatrunjaya Hill. Most of the temples date to the 16th century.
Start ascending the hill by 0700 hrs. Lunch at Vijay Villas Palace near
Palitana. After lunch continue your drive to Ahmdabad.
On arrival installation at the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 04 : Ahmedabad
After breakfast city tour of Ahmedabad visiting Gandhi Ashram,
Hatheesing Jain Temple, Siddi Saiyad Mosque, Juma Masjid and walk in the
old city of Ahmedabad. Meals and overnight at the hotel.
Day 05 : Ahmedabad-Udaipur
After breakfast leave by surface for Udaipur, the fairy tale city with
its marble palaces and lakes. Enroute visit Adalaj step Well.
On arrival installation at the hotel. After lunch boat ride on the lake
Pichola. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 06 : Udaipur

After breakfast city tour of Udaipur visiting city palace and museum,
Sahelion ki Bari. After lunch excursion to Nagda and Eklingji, 22 km
northeast of Udaipur, is a complex of 108 temples and shrines dedicated to
Lord Shiva. A short distance from Eklingji is Nagda known for Saas Bahu
Temple (Mother and Daughter-in-law Temple). Return to Udaipur for dinner
and overnight at the hotel.
Day 06 : Udaipur-Ranakpur-Jodhpur
After breakfast leave by surface for Jodhpur- epitomizes all the
romance and feudal splendour of Rajasthan. Now the second largest city of
Rajasthan. It was founded in 1459 by Rao Jodha. Enroute visit Ranakpur
Temple complex, dominated by the great Adinath Temple about 90 kilometers
North West of Udaipur.
On arrival installation at the hotel. After lunch city tour of Jodhpur
visiting Mehrangarh Fort, perhaps the most majestic of Rajasthan’s forts.
Jaswant Thada- this elegant pillared marble memorial with fine lattice
carving is the Chhatri (cenotaph) of Maharaja Jaswant singh II, whose
innovative irrigation schemes brought water and prosperity to this parched
land.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 07 : Jodhpur-Jaisalmer
After breakfast leave by surface for Jaisalmer, A remote outpost in
the Thar Desert, Jaisalmer was founded in the 12th century by Maharawal
Jaisal of the Bhatti Rajput clan. It was once a flourishing trade centre,
strategically located on the busy caravan trade route to Afghanistan and
Central Asia.
On arrival installation at the hotel. After lunch city tour of Jaisalmer
visiting Gadisagar Lake, Salim Singh’s Haveli, Nathmalji Ki Haveli and
Patwon ki Haveli. Enjoy local tea at one of the road side tea stall before
returning to hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 08 : Jaisalmer
After breakfast visit Jaisalmer Fort, India’s only leaving fort. Built
in 1156 by Maharawal Jaisal, and added to by his successors, this citadel
stands on the peak of the 80 meter high Trikuta Hill. Return to hotel for
lunch, later check out and leave by surface for Sam, where rippling sand
dunes stretch as far as the eye can see. Watching sun set from the dunes
of Sam is a wonderful experience.
On arrival, installation at Dune Safari Camp, where you will get the
camels to go to the dunes for sun set. Return to the camp for Special Gala
dinner with camp fire and Rajasthan folk dances. Overnight at the Camp.
Day 09 : Jaisalmer-Bikaner
After breakfast, leave by surface for Bikaner. Along with Jodhpur and
Jaisalmer, Bikaner was one of the three great desert kingdoms of
Rajasthan, founded by 1486 by Rao Bika.
On arrival installation at the hotel. After lunch city tour of Bikaner
visiting Junagarh Fort, constructed between 1587 and 1593 by the third
ruler of Bikaner, Rai Singh. Also visit the walled city of Bikaner and the
Bazaars. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 : Bikaner-Mandawa
After breakfast leave by surface for Mandawa in Shekhawati. This
region, named after its 15th century ruler Rao Shekha, has number of
fascinating small towns with well preserved painted havelies. The area is
also knows as open air art gallery of Rajasthan.
On arrival, installation at the hotel. After lunch city tour of Mandawa on
foot, visiting the painted havelies of Mandawa. Dinner and overnight at
the hotel.
Day 11 : Mandawa-Nawalgarh-SamodeJaipur
After breakfast leave by surface for Jaipur, Enroute visit Nawalgarh
and Samode. Lunch at Samode Palace. Jaipur often called the Pink City, is
the capital, and the most colorful city of Rajasthan.
On arrival installation at the hotel. Later visit the Bazaars of Jaipur at
Chhoti Chaupar (small Square) leads to Kishanpol Bazaar, famous for its
shops selling rose, saffron, almond and vetiver-flavoured sherbets. There
are also lot of vegetable sellers and flower sellers at Chhoti Chaupar.
All this makes this place ideal for taking pictures. Dinner and overnight
at the hotel.
Day 12 : Jaipur
After breakfast excursion to Amber Fort and Palace which was the
citadel of Kachhawaha’s until 1727, when their capital moved to Jaipur.
The citadel was established in 1592 by Raja Manshing I on the remains of
an old 11th century fort. Ganesh Pol, Sheesh Mahal, Jas Mandir and Shila
Devi Temple are some of the attractions. Have lunch in one of the city
restaurants. Later city tour of Jaipur visiting Jantar Mantar, the
observatory, this is the largest and the best preserved out of the five
observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh II- A keen astronomer himself. City
Palace and Museum. City Palace has been the home to the rulers of Jaipur
since the first half of the 18th century. The sprawling complex is a
superb blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture. Also visit Hawa Mahal, the
Place of winds. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 13: Jaipur-Agra
After breakfast, leave by surface for Agra, Enroute visit Fatehpur
Sikri- built by Emperor Akbar between 1571 and 1585 in honour of Salim
Chisti, a famous Sufi saint of the Chisthi order. It was the Mughal
capital for 14 years. After the city was abandoned, some say for lack of
water, many of its treasures were plundered. It owes its present state of
preservation to the initial efforts of the viceroy, Lord Curzon, a
legendary conservationist. Today it is one of the World Heritage Sites.
On arrival at Agra installation at the hotel. Agra was the seat of the
imperial Mughal court during the 16th and 17th centuries before the
capital was shifted to Delhi. The city was strategically located on the
banks of the Yamuna river and along the Grand Trunk Road. The home city of
famous Mughal monuments, out of which Taj Mahal and Agra fort have been
declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.
After lunch city tour of Agra, visiting Taj Mahal, one of the world’s most
famous buildings, the Taj Mahal was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan
in memory of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died in 1631. This
sublime garden-tomb, an image of the Islamic garden of paradise, cost
nearly 41 million rupees and 500 kilos of gold. About 20,000 workers
laboured for 12 years to complete it in 1643. Also visit Agra Fort-
situated on the west bank of the Yamuna, it was built by Emperor Akbar
between 1565 and 1573. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 14 : Agra-Sikandra-Delhi
After breakfast, leave by surface for Delhi, Enroute visit Sikandra,
the mausoleum of Emperor Akbar.

On arrival in Delhi have lunch in the city restaurant before visiting old
and New Delhi. The vast urban sprawl of contemporary Delhi is, in fact, a
conglomeration of several distinct enclaves, chief among which are Old
Delhi, with its 16th and 17th century Mughal built monuments and congested
souk-like bazaars, and New Delhi with its wide avenues, grand vistas and
colonial mansions built by the British in the 1930’s as their imperial
capital. Due to time constrain you will be visiting Qutb Minar. Qutbuddin
Aibak laid the foundation of the Delhi Sultanate in 1193, he built the
Quwwat-ul-Islam (Might of Islam) Mosque and the Qutb Minar to announce the
advent of the Muslim sultans. Rajghat, the cremation site of Mahatma
Gandhi, the father of Nation, India Gate the war memorial, Rashtrapati
Bhavan design by Sir Edwin Lutyens as the British Viceroy’s Palace, Jama
Masjid built by Emperor Jhah Jahan in 1656 and drive through the Chandni
Chownk, the moonlight square. Later Farewell dinner and transfer to
airport in time to connect flight for home.
Day 15 Leave Delhi by international flight.
