Lufthansa to offer daily services on Mumbai – Munich route effective

Effective April 1, 2011, Lufthansa, with the start of the next summer
schedule, will be offering daily flights on its Mumbai – Munich route, up
from five weekly flights now. As a result of the flight increase between
Mumbai and Munich, the Lufthansa Group, including SWISS and Austrian, will
be operating 77 weekly frequencies from seven Indian destinations to
Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich and Vienna in the next summer schedule.
Austrian Airlines launches Mumbai-Vienna operations from Nov 1

After pulling out from the Mumbai sector in 2009, Austrian Airlines has
relaunched operations from Mumbai to Vienna from November 1. The carrier
will ply five flights per week from Mumbai to Vienna, taking the total
number of flights from India to Austria to 11 every week. The flights on
this new route are operated by a Boeing 767. With altogether 11 weekly
frequencies from New Delhi and Mumbai, India will be connected to 130
global destinations covered by the Austrian route network.
JetLite introduces 30 new domestic flights across India

JetLite, Jet Airways’ all-economy subsidiary, has introduced 30 new
domestic flights, including the launch of its services on eight additional
sectors across India. The airline now connects Mumbai and Hyderabad with
Raipur, Nagpur with Bengaluru, Delhi and Indore respectively. JetLite also
connects Delhi with Pune and Chandigarh, and will launch a daily service
between Bengaluru and Chandigarh from December 5, 2010.
Philippine Airlines to commence India operations from March 2011

Philippines national carrier, Philippine Airlines, is all set to enter
into the Indian market. The airline will commence its India operations in
March 2011, with six flights to the national capital. Of these six
flights, three will be direct, non-stop flights, connecting New Delhi to
Manila. And an equal number of flights will connect the two national
capitals via Bangkok. The non-stop flights will fly from New Delhi to
Manila on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On its way back from Manila to New
Delhi, the flights are scheduled on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
IndiGo connects Coimbatore to Chennai and Delhi effective November
30, 2010

IndiGo has announced that it will connect Coimbatore to Chennai and Delhi
effective November 30, 2010. As per the company release, these services
will further consolidate IndiGo’s position as the fastest growing airline
in India, with its 207 flights connecting 23 destinations across the
nation. Both corporate and leisure customers travelling from Coimbatore
will now have the opportunity to experience hassle-free and on-time
performance of the airline.
With a launch of three new sectors including Ahmedabad to Chennai,
Ahmedabad to Jaipur, and Jaipur to Chennai, IndiGo is now operating daily
non-stop flights on these sectors.
In addition, Ahmedabad is now connected with Kolkata with three daily
flights, and Jaipur has a second daily non-stop flight to Kolkata. The new
flights which commence from November 7, 2010, now provide increased
frequencies on the routes and offer greater travel options for its
customers.
