Planet India - Luxury Trains
The first train in India ran between Thane and Bori Bunder (near the present day metropolis of Mumbai) on 16th April 1853. Over the past 150 years, Indian Railways has grown to become the largest Railway network in the World. Almost the entire country is linked by the Railways. One of the most leisured ways to see India (if one has the luxury of sufficient time on hand!) is by traveling on trains across the country. Although compared to air-travel, traveling by rail is a rather time consuming affair (more so on routes which cover
longer distances), it nonetheless offers excellent value options for large groups of students travelers from schools and universities. In addition to normal journeys (as scheduled in some of our regular itineraries)), we welcome you to avail our special “India by Rail” programs. Undertake a journey on toy trains or travel with us on the Royal Orient or the Palace on Wheels.
Incidentally, we are probably the only company to organize and conduct chartered train departures for our special “India by Rail” itineraries! |
